Confluence to word exporter

Hi All,

I am using the content exporter application for generating pdf/word from Confluence. I have very little knowledge of stylesheet. Can anyone help on how to create CSS or styles for exporting a confluence page to a Word file.

Below are my requirements

1. The exported page must have a header and footer with details in them.

2. Must be able to switch from portrait to landscape and vice versa where applicable.

3. Want to repeat table headers, when the table runs in multiple pages.

Note: I have tried Scroll Word and PDF exporter and I cannot use them as we have some limitations with them. Any generic ideas other than Scroll applications would be very helpful.

Thank you

Hi Meera,

As communicated on the support ticket you’ve opened with us regarding the Content Exporter application, our focus for the upcoming release is improving the quality of exports.

The application can add headers and footers to the exported page - the issue with your custom CSS preventing this from being added to landscape pages has been forwarded to our devs as well for further investigation.

At this time we are not able to duplicate table headers, but we have created a task for it and are looking to add this feature in a future release as well.

I hope we can find a solution to these problems together with our devs and you can continue using our app for your export requirements.

Kind Regards,
Andrea

Hi @Meera.Amanullah

Try exploring Scroll PDF exporter and Scroll Word Exporter by K15t.

We used both in CA back in the day in DC/Server environment and they worked like a charm.

Hi @Kristian Klima ,

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried both Scroll PDF and Word exporter and they are good. But we have some specific requirements for which I cannot use them. Hence looking out for some new options.

Thank you

We also had an epub exporter so I'm pretty sure there are more options on the marketplace.

Hi @Kristian Klima,@Tom Rough ,

I am trying the Scroll pdf exporter and could you please help me on the below requirement:

1. Can we hide the Confluence page titles from appearing on top of each page in the pdf?

Thank you

Hey @Meera.Amanullah  - I suspect the page titles you're wishing to exclude are appearing because you have a Document Title and/or Chapter Heading placeholder present in the header section of your export template. You can simply remove this placeholder when customizing your own export template (learn more here). If this doesn't help, please send us an email to help@k15t.com with your export example (and ideally your export template  - this can be downloaded as a *.data file) and indicate the part you wish to exclude. We can then look into this. Regards, Thomas

Hey @Meera.Amanullah  - I'm working for K15t (developers of the Scroll Exporter apps) and was just wondering whether you would be willing to expand on the limitations you ran into whilst evaluating our apps? We'd be interested to learn more about your use case, and to see if there are any ways we can overcome the limitations you experienced. Feel free to share your feedback here, or if you'd prefer, you can contact us via help@k15t.com, or by creating a ticket with us here. Thanks in advance, Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I'm having tickets created and followed up on in Jira.

I'm looking to find answers for some of the customizations I need through the forum also.

Thank you.
