Confluence to Gitlab smart links not showing preview

We just migrated to Gitlab.com Cloud from self-hosted and were happy to start using smart links within Jira and Confluence.  However, all our Gitlab.com smart links within Jira say the same thing "AML SSO for <group name> - Gitlab".  The links works correctly and navigate to the correct project, file, issue, etc. but the smart link text does not differentiate where it is going. Did we miss a configuration step?

Hi Lisa, we have the same issue - I was able to find a workaround in an announcement made for the smart links feature https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72429 :

"bypass the Smart Link experience using Cmd+Shift+V when inserting links"

Hope this helps, and I'm interested to hear if you were able to find a solution or a different workaround
