Hi all
My colleague has a Jira automation set up to create a confluence page from a template.
- I created the template (templates have no owner)
- She created the Jira automation.
- Someone else created the confluence space.
When the automation runs, I am set as the owner of the new confluence page and receive notifications about updates .
Any ideas how to make sure that the owner role is automatically assigned to my colleague?
I'm also experiencing this problem. Even when the actor is set to 'User who triggered the event" or "Automation for Jira", I am still the owner of all the newly created pages.
I think it might have to do with that I set up the connection with Confluence
But there's no way to have this connection created with like an 'Automation for Jira' account. And we don't use an "empty account" to do such things..
How to solve this problem?
HI @Jagmohan
I think this is the reason.
The documentation on Confluence automation states;
"In Confluence automation, the rule actor is the person who created the rule."
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Check the automation rule, who is set as the actor of the rule?
If this is you, change the actor to "User who triggered the event".
See if this changes the creator of the page.
