Confluence, migrate external JIRA directory to internal

kumar jira December 23, 2021

Hello Community,

We are in the process of configuring SSO to confluence.

Currently, our confluence server is using the JIRA directory for users and authentication.

Is there a way to migrate all the external users to confluence internal? ( we just wanted to dissociate JIRA and Confluence)

Thank you

Hi @kumar jira

Basic principle is that Username should match for authentication.

Move the Internal directory to first position in the User directory section and create users appropriately by filling in the details as same in the home external directory. The next time user logs in, confluence checks for authentication from the Internal User directory.

Thanks,

Pramodh

@Pramodh M  We use an external JIRA directory for authentication.

I want confluence to use the confluence internal directory for authentication. Is there a way to migrate or move users from the JIRA directory to confluence internal?
