Confluence language displays in Swedish no matter what language is selected

Megan Wachtendonk June 6, 2019

I use a Firefox browser to access Confluence on my server with the default language set to English. However, when I navigate to my Confluence page the site is displayed in Swedish.

When I go to the General Installations -> Languages I am able to select other languages and hit the apply button, but the language remains in Swedish no matter what selection I choose.

Has anyone run into this issue and found a way to change the language settings? Thanks!

Hello Megan,

have you changed your language preferences in your user profile?

This language setting should be the first one to take effect.

Hi Megan,

Configure the option  "confluence.browser.language.enabled" to "false" in System Property.

As of in this article below:

No, I hadn't done that yet. But now selecting English there changes the display.

Thanks!
