Hello wise community members,
I have a table in Confluence using the Jira Issues macro,
I want to be able to sort by one column or another on the fly in view mode as we use different types of information to inform different decisions in the same meeting.
At this stage I think my option is to use the Jira Legacy macro, as this allows sorting.
Given the description of the Jira Issues filter, I'm thinking there a bug with that macro, or I have missed how to get that macro's output to sort.
Thanks!
@Liz Babidge I haven't used this macro, but I looked at one of our pages where my colleague has. I think that you cannot sort the columns because the entire table is actually a link displayed as a list, rather than a standard table.
There would need to be a Sort By parameter in the query you use to create the list, which you might request as an enhancement.
Hi @Liz Babidge ,
If you want to filter the values based on certain criteria in a confluence table in view mode you will need to use the table filter macro from the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence plugin.
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Mayuresh

Thank you for the answer. We don't have additional plugins. I just want to click on a column header to sort the content, not do any fancy filtering. It seems strange that in moving from the legacy issues list this basic functionality has been dropped.
