Hi there,

I'm trying to use an SSL  certificate for confluence. I've done exactly the same thing that is mentioned in confluence documentation. I've used a valid certificate and have changed the server.xml and open the port on the firewall, but the problem is tomcat isn't listening to port 8443!!!

I appreciate your help.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community @Robert Zehmeister

Assuming that you are using windows server - can you share the output of netstat -na | find "8443" command?

These kind of configurations are always fun. Did you also complete Steps 4 and 5 listed on this page:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/running-confluence-over-ssl-or-https-161203.html

If you are behind a router, you may also need to configure port forwarding for 8443 as well.

Good luck!
