Confluence export page and comments

Jiannan Tang January 23, 2013

Hi:

I want to export a page including all comments.

But export word or PDF can't export comments.

I had knew html export function can export comments, but is any plugins can export Word or PDF include comments?

I created a user macro which is including all page comments when exporting to PDF or when printing. Tested with CONF 6.9
The user macro you can find here: https://web-seitig.de/page-comments-user-macro-for-confluence-to-include-page-comments-in-pdf-export-and-in-print/50/

Can it also print all inline comments?

Sorry for the question, but how can i use/install this macro?

In your confluence go to:

Gear
General Configuration -> User Macros and use the option "Create a User Macro"

Is it possible to create a Custom Macro in the cloud version. I don't see these options in General Configuration.

Thanks!

There's a feature request for this if you're interested: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-8888

I renewed the one for Cloud as well. It hadn't been touched since 2016 by the look of it.

Any updates here?  Really need to be able to export showing ALL inline and bottom comments to leverage Confluence. Also seems can only show 1 inline comment at a time?

What I mean is to use the browser's print function instead of confluence export function.

I use Chrome. I can print the hole page as a PDF file.

Hi there,

Perhaps you could try Scroll PDF Export plugin and see whether it has the feature that you're looking for? As a cheaper solution there are some converter from html to pdf online, and it might be useful for you.

Hope it helps :)

Thanks your answer, but I need a free plugin.

Tim Schmidt May 20, 2014

This plugin doesn't provide the option to export your comments, does it?

I'm still looking for this function (not the print-workaround).

Cheers :)
