Confluence does not search in attached Excel Workbook xlsx files

Hi,

we are running Confluence 7.0.3 and searching inside attached Excel xlsx files is broken, which I thought to be a standard functionality.

I already rebuild the search index under Confluence Administration and tested it with attaching a new Word, an Excel Workbook (xlsx) and an Excel 97-2003 formated xls file. Retrieving the Word file and the xls works, but retrieving the Excel xlsx file does not.

Thus, it seems that Confluence can't read xlsx files generated with Excel version 16.13 under a Mac (opening the file under Windows is no problem).

Any help to enable searching xlsx files would be appreciated.

Hello Michael,

Thank you for contracting us about this. I was able to replicate this same issue in my instance, and I raised a bug for it.

In the meantime, I hope you can use the .xls files as a workaround.
