Confluence did not connect to MySQL

Ulf Klose December 13, 2017

Dear Sir or Madame,

our Confluence session https://confluence.leitron.de not connecting to our MySQL instance. Workarounds of Atlassian FAQ failed. Could you please see the page and advise on configurations. Access details to the server could be granted when necessary.

Hello Ulf,

It looks like the isolation level setting in the database is causing the issue, based on the error message:

MySQL isolation level could not be read. Isolation level must be 'READ-COMMITTED'

Please see the second item under Configure MySQL Server. It describes editing the my.cnf file (my.ini on Windows operating systems) in your MySQL server. Please make sure that the global transaction isolation level of your Database has been set to READ-COMMITTED. I look forward to hearing whether Confluence connects to the database as expected afterward.

Thanks,

Ann
