Confluence clustering with docker, haproxy, and nginx

Luke Bay January 17, 2019

I have two instances of confluence data center 6.13 running as a docker container with nginx as the reverse proxy and haproxy as the load balancer.  Running one at a time works great but I cannot get the clustering to work.  I believe that I need to expose port 5701 on the docker container, but I'm not sure how to configure the nginx and haproxy to handle the hazelcast requests.

Has anyone been able to get this working in a similar setup?

EDIT:  I was able to get this setup working.  The key it all was setting the network_mode to host .  That allows the confluence container to bind to the hosts network interface and use that for the cluster.
