Confluence behind Sophos UTM with WAF (reverse proxy)

Vijay Atturu September 24, 2021

Hi all,

when we use our single Confluence installation in the internal network everything works fine. Now we have to share it with external partners and I setup  our Sophos UTM to reach the Confluence website via https://sub.myDomain.com:8443 (forwarded to http://localIPaddress:8090)

I am able to login, read contents, create spaces and setup parameters as Admin. But I can't create content.

After awhile I get the hint Tomcat config is incorrect:

But in the server.xml the parameter are correct.

I tried another port, I also tried it with a context path like https://sub.myDomain.com:8443/confluence

Anyone else have any ideas?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

best regards
