Hello,
I am planning to use Whiteboard for PI planning. The template provided doesn't really meet the purpose.
I have 9 teams which means I have 9 team level planning area. So, in the team level area I am trying to pull the team's iteration using timeline in a Confluence space with a table using JQL pulling respective team's features and stories.
With this I am facing some issues. The embedded table in whiteboard is not displaying the table at all. Also I have noticed performance issue with whiteboard.
Any suggestions and recommendations
1. Deal with the issue I am facing
2. What is the best way to set up ART board
3. Any better way to do set up the PI board
thanks in anticipation!
Hi Mukesh,
Great that you tried out the whiteboard! I didn’t know this was possible now.
I’ll do my best to answer your questions.
Regarding Question 1:
I think it makes perfect sense to do PI planning in Atlassian (Confluence or Jira) rather than using an external app or even offline tools. This saves a lot of time and allows teams to work with the tools they are already familiar with. Converting to Confluence Whiteboards could still be a challenge, but there are some apps in the Atlassian Marketplace that could make the process easier.
Regarding Question 2:
The easiest way I know to use an ART Planning Board in Jira Cloud is through our Agile Hive for Jira Cloud app. We’ve recorded a video that shows how you can easily use the ART Planning Board within the app. Agile Hive also provides issue types that match SAFe, so you can plan at the ART level. Here’s the video: Video Link
Regarding Question 3:
I assume you’re referring to the PI Board planning view during PI Planning, right? In Agile Hive, we have the "Roadmap" view at both the team and ART levels, where issues are pulled from the respective backlogs, scheduled, and dependencies can be planned.
We’d be happy to show you this in a meeting. You can find our calendar here: Calendar Link
Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions! 🙂
Kind regards
Isabell
