Hi,
I have two questions about Confluence.
1. How can I fix the first column or row of a table so that it is always visible when scrolling?
2. Is there a way to hide individual columns in a table, for example by adding a plus to the respective column?
@Niklas Dausend welcome to the Atlassian Community.
1. There is no fixed scrolling capability with the native Confluence Tables. Confluence Databases keep the top row visible when scrolling, but tables do not. A table is like any other element of a page and will continue to scroll with the page as you scroll in the browser.
2. Tables are designed to be 'display-always' and as such, there is no native functionality to hide a column or a row in a table. It's either present, or deleted.
You may want to look into Confluence Databases, which will allow you to display specific fields in the databases/tables you insert into pages.
I hope this helps!
Hi @Niklas Dausend ,
Also if you are open to 3rd party apps, we can suggest trying our Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.
With the help of the Table Filter macro you'll be able to freeze first N rows/columns and hide unwanted columns if required.
And, of course, you'll be able to filter your tables, aggregate them (create pivot tables), perform various calculations and transformations.
Please book a live call from our team - we'll be able to discuss your use cases and show possible solutions.
