Confluence Server SSO options? (SAML or OpenIDConnect or other)

Hello,

We're still running confluence server edition on-premise.

I'd like to know what SSO options are available directly through Atlassian?

Is SAML available?

Is OpenID Connect available?

Are there any other options possible?

We want to integrate with our IdP which is Google Workspace.

This marketplace add-on suggests we can enable SSO for Confluence Server, however the documentation all seems to point to data center.

Can anyone please explain what options we have?

I go to:

General configuration> Authentication methods

I'm only see one option list called "crowd single sign-on"

Why am I not seeing SAML?

SAML and Open ID connect options are only available for the applications having data center license.

For earlier versions or Server products, the functionality might be limited. Check if you can upgrade your SSO app, or find the SSO functionality under “SSO 2.0” in Administration.

The app is available on for Server and Datacenter type but functionalities are different based on the license type.

I'm sorry but as Server products are almost dead, I really suggest that you study your migration process to Datacenter or Cloud.

As Server Support will end really soon now on all Atlassian products, I highly recommend to study your migration to Datacenter or to the Atlassian Cloud: https://www.atlassian.com/migration/assess/journey-to-cloud

And by the way, Google Workspace integration is an included feature in Atlassian Cloud (all plans): https://support.atlassian.com/provisioning-users/docs/connect-to-g-suite/ and https://support.atlassian.com/provisioning-users/docs/set-up-g-suite/
