Confluence Page Editing Restrictions Do Not Persist after Scaffolding Action

Ken Bour May 15, 2013

I created a page using a CustomWare Scaffolding template (plugin). I then added a page editing restriction to just me. I then used the <Edit Contents> function to make a change to the page/form. When I reloaded the page, the editing restrictions had disappeared. I have confirmed this behavior in both latest versions of Chrome and Firefox. This site is running Confluence v4.3.1, Scaffolding v4.5.1. Shouldn't page editing restrictions persist after an <Edit Contents> action is performed? Otherwise, users have to re-enable editing restrictions after every contents change to a page!

Update: the title should have read "...after Scaffolding Edit Contents Action." I entered left & right carat symbols which, evidently, caused those important words to be deleted!
