Confluence: How to do a content classification into public internal or confidential?

Stefan Baader January 28, 2014

In enterprises the intranet content is usually to be classified into categories like internal or confidential. Inside one Wiki installation there are spaces with anonymous access (used by every employee of the enterprise) which are best classified as "internal" and there are restricted spaces for closed usergroups which are best classified as "confidential". How to solve this with Confluence? The requirement is that the classification has to be "tagged" on every page, watched or printed. The best pragmatic solution could be to write the classification into the theme template or on top and bottom of the content, depending on its accessibility. So anonymous content should be tagged as "internal" and restricted content should be tagged as "confidential".

Is this possible in Confluence?

Cheers

Stefan

Compliance for Confluence is an add-on that will allow you to do this.
