Our Confluence site derives crowd from Jira.

Lately, the sync has been failing with the following warnings:

"...

2023-02-06 22:32:11,268 WARN [Caesium-1-1] [ratelimiting.internal.settings.RateLimitModificationSettingsService] delete No RL settings found for user: [40a1f3axxxxx4f43a8c9003a] - can't delete!!

2023-02-06 22:32:11,314 WARN [Caesium-1-1] [confluence.impl.hibernate.ConfluenceHibernateTransactionManager] doRollback Performing rollback. Transactions:
->[com.atlassian.crowd.directory.DbCachingRemoteChangeOperations.updateUsers]: PROPAGATION_REQUIRES_NEW,ISOLATION_DEFAULT (Session #700835048)

..."

I've tried adding a second directory, to perform the same query on the Jira server, but the sync fails for the new directory as well. (Although it only gets the second warning.)

Recently added users subsequently appear in the Confluence DB, but cannot be added to spaces, and do not appear in searching for users to add to a space.

Anyone have a similar issue? How did you fix it?

Thanks,

-Liz

@Elizabeth Sharp Looks like you have an issue with the User listed in the first error.  I would suggest seeing what that is in the Jira directory and resolving it so the sync can take place.  You can take a look at this https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-78861
