Hi,
I'm quite new to Confluence, so maybe this is a silly question.
I have attached emails (.msg) to some Confluence pages.
I've tried to search for some text which I know is included in those email bodies, but I don't find them with the Confluence.
Is there something I might be doing in the wrong way?
Thanks, Andrea
Hi @Andrea Boerio,
Confluence support searching content of certain file types. Please refer
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/search-139528.html
some more info
Thank you @Sreenivasaraju P, I had actually read the first page, but it's not clear to me what they mean when they say
"...The full search allows you to search all content in all spaces (site and personal), mail, personal profiles, attachments and space descriptions, or filter the results to show only what you're after.
The search will also look at the content of the following types of attachments:
..."
they write you can search in "... mails, ..., attachments..." which sounds like mail AND attachments.
I actually have emails that ARE attachments (still don't know how to handle emails other than attach them to a page, eg to a meeting note page for reference).
