Hello the community !
Do you have any recommendation to get an old version of CONFLUENCE v3.3
and connect it to an available MS SQL SERVER DB ?
We had the bad luck to crash the application layer and now I'm struggling without any documentations of 3 projects.
I tried to install the Confluence v3.3 Evaluation but I didn't find any way to make it work on my windows 10 envt.
I tried also to install a Docker Linux version of a 3.4 version which is integrated with a PostgreSql Server but I didn't find where to reconfigure the connexion to my MS SQL DB......
I'm looking for advices of good souls to help me to recover my datas.
Do you have any recommandation ?
Best regards,
Rony Cohen
Hello !
Thank you very much for your answers ! Concerning the DB it's not MySQL but Microsoft SQL Server.
Thank you for your link, I'm on it.
Concerning the version of JAVA I red that the last version runs older java programs without any problems.

Ah, Atlassian applications generally do not like older versions of Java. You need to go via "bridge" versions usually, ones that supports the old version of Java and the later one.

OK thank you.
How to get the WINDOWS bridge one in the https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/download-archives ?
I'm looking for a 3.3 version (3.3.1 would work as well I guess).

The windows evaluation servers will work - they're still a full install of Confluence, they've just not had any optimisation done for production use (not that the other versions have either)

I'll follow the installation process and will try to connect the Current MS Sql DB to it.

Hi Rony,
I've never tried it, so I don't know how to do it in practice, however, I found back the documentation for Confluence 3.3. As you can see, there are specific versions of MySQL that are supported, and I think if your matching all those requirements, you'd be good

A requirement to check carefully is the version of Java - I'm not sure the old version you need to run Confluence 3.3 is going to work on Windows 10 (and even if it does, you should only use it to perform an upgrade as both Java and Confluence are totally insecure and should not be used)

Yes the purpose is to get the specifications and migrate to last version of Confluence.
