Fairly new to Confiforms so have very limited knowledge. We have created a work request form in Confluence using Confiform and would now like to added a workflows and approval process for when the form has been submitted.
- First step would be to send a few emails (One to the requestor, one for the approver (If possible it would contain all the details and allow the recipient to either approve/decline/decline with an explanation) and finally one a shared mailbox
- Second step would be on approval we would like it to create a Jira ticket or if decline then record on the form data table along with any explanation
We may want to add some additional steps in the workflow process later but that maybe once the Jira ticket has been created. Would assume that this would be existing functionality in Jira and can be managed through the status of the ticket.
If anyone could point me in the right direction of some tutorials or learning resources to help that would be much appreciated.
ConfiForms has a way to set up various actions in addition to collecting data
These are done by using the ConfiForms IFTTTs - there are ones to send emails, and to create Jira issues
These actions can be triggered conditionally - when data in ConfiForms record matches a condition (or transitioned from one value to another)
Cloud tutorials on sending emails and creating issues in Jira from ConfiForms could be found here https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/FORMS/ConfiForms+CLOUD
