All:
I am Working on confluence 5.3.1 on linux server.
The backend database is SQL server.
The name of the databse is "confluence" .
The user is "confuser" . It was fully operational.
I try to change the password to the "confuser" in the database "confluence"
and restart the confulence using the command ./start-confluence.sh.
It takes to me the set up wizard. Is this the right way to start the confluence.
Why is it taking me to the start up wizard?
Plase advise me
Thanks for your help

Did you change the password in confluence.cfg.xml under Confluence home? If not, change the hibernate.connection.password in that file.

It's assuming you want to perform a new installation because it can't access the current one (because you've changed the password)
There's a load of stuff you could run through with the wizard, but you might find a quick dirty fix works better - stop confluence, go to Confluence Home, and look for the file confluence.cfg.xml - edit that in a text editor and you'll find database connection url, user and password in it. Change the password in there to the new password and restart confluence.
