Changing the Confluence Administrator User

Peter Laytham October 15, 2012

Currently our Confluence has the userid p.lath which is my userid, but I need to move the role to another.

Can we:

- change our nominated Confluence Administraor

- use a generic ID for the COnfluence Administrator (eg Conf.Admin)

If so, how do I go about this please?

Thanks

Peter

Add the other user from the "confluence-administrators" group.

Login as the other person and make sure you have administrator access. You can then remove l.path from the confluence-administrators group

Thanks - have tried that approach but when I try to remove them in this way I get an error "This user cannot be removed", qualified by "because this user has authored the followin spaces [then lists spaces and content].
