Hi,
I would like to change the subdomain of my services. Instead of homemng I would like there to be devopsi. How can this be done?
BR,
Paul
Hi Pawel,
As Nic mentioned, we are able to change the Cloud URL of your site for you, but we need to check your site eligibility first. However, I noticed that you've already registered the new URL you wanted to use.
Referring to Changing the cloud instance URL address or migrating to a new cloud instance:
We’ve recently released the first iteration of being able to rename your cloud site. [...] Our team will then review the eligibility criteria prior to triggering your rename. In preparation for a site rename, please do not attempt to reserve your preferred name by signing up for a new site. This creates extra complexity in the process and will prolong the time required before your site can successfully be renamed. Additionally, please note that the site rename process reserves the original cloud URL for historical reference and does not release it to be used again.
In this case, it's no longer easier for Atlassian to take over the rename for you. The next step would be to migrate your data from the old site to the new. You can review the article I sent you at the top of my reply, which will tell you which process to use to migrate to a new URL for your product combination.
If you run into any issues getting migrated over, please let me know, and I can raise an internal request for you so we can help you out.
Take care,
Shannon
You can ask Atlassian support to change the xxx.atlassian.net to yyy.atlassian.net - they will do it for you. Be careful to choose a good name though, they will not do it frequently (my memory said once a year at most)
However, you've said you're on the free plan, which means I don't think you've got the option of support.
If that is right, then you will have to buy the new domain, use the "take backup" option in Jira and Confluence in the old domain, and import those into the new ones.
