I have 2 users where they cannot create a draw.io diagram, but I am able to. I haven't found any setting or difference in what we are using. One user gets the following error: An embedded page at ac.draw.io says Draft Write Error: Draft could not be created. My other user will click create and the processing spinner continues to spin and a new diagram never gets loaded. I've looked for other articles, but cannot find any mention of this issue.
I've confirmed they are not trying to embed a diagram, only create a new one. They have edit access to the page.
I have just encountered the same issue and found that publishing the Confluence page fixed the issue.
This could be related to a long-standing bug discussed here: https://community.developer.atlassian.com/t/navigator-getlocation-context-missing/3666
and ticketed here: https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/CE-324
In case either of these links dies, the way I understand it is as follows:
When the draw.io instance is created, a parameter used to tell it that the Confluence page is a draft. This parameter was removed at some point but when this was done is not documented by Atlassian. This has yet to be re-added.
So for the moment, it seems creating a draw.io diagram in a draft Confluence page is problematic, and publishing the page, then editing allows you to add the diagram as intended.
Hi,
Could you suggest cache clear and tell us the result, please? Tell the user to:
* close pages with draw.io diagrams
* go to https://ac.draw.io/clear.html
* wait for the page to load and then try the operation again
Does this help? If not, could you recheck if the user has write attach perm on that space/page?
P.S If nothing helps, please submit all the details to https://drawio.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/14/group/15/create/49 and add:
* draw.io version the user is using (can be seen under Help)
* attach a print screen of whole browser when the error shows
Thanks,
Marija

Ok. It looks like clearing cache helped. I am now able to open plugin. Thank you!

Is this also not possible when using other browsers? Did those users maybe tested that?

Both are using Chrome, same as I am.
