Hi there,
We did a vanilla install of Confluence and Jira. We had admin access to both products.
We followed the instructions to link Jira to Confluence and then synchronised users but now no one can login to Confluence and we get the following error message:
"You are not permitted to perform this operation."
Please advise.
TIA,
James
Hi,
It is possible that you have put Jira as the first position in User Directories and that is causing this issue. In order to place internal directory in the first position again, please refer to Step 3 of the following link.

Thanks for that. Step 3. allowed us to get back into Confluence. Looks like a few steps confused us:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Thanks for getting back to me. We followed this:
We synchronised users to take advantage of the centralised authentication functionality.

Which instructions did you follow about linking? Why did you synchronise users just to use application links?
I think we need more information about what you've done to integrate them?
