Can you not paste an emoji into an action item?

Just tried pasting a 💬emoji into an action item checkbox list...and it wouldn't paste. But it pasted in normal text.

Why can't you put emoji into an action item?

Looks like you can, but you have to use their custom Atlassian emoji. You can't just paste a standard emoji used everywhere else.

Again...you could in the legacy editor. But you can't in the new editor.
