Can you link a table from one page to another while displaying a few selected columns? (One data source)

Zach Bornstein May 19, 2016

I have one page in confluence with a table that I want to keep updated.  I want to show two versions of that page by hiding a few columns in the second version.  Is there a way to link these pages so I only need to update one source?

I looked at the page properties and excerpt plugins but I can't seem to find a real solution.

Thanks.

Zach, you can use Table Filter and Charts add-on to get exactly what you want:

  • add an Excerpt Include or Page Include macro to the second page
  • wrap Include macro with Table Filter macro
  • set Hide columns parameter in Table Filter, in set in filters default values columns you want to hide, optionally set Hide filters by default parameter to hide filters pane
