Can you disable coloring in the code block macro?

Michael Faux November 10, 2017

I'm using a code block macro. Even though the macro does not have any syntax highlighting enabled, the content renders with colors. It appears to interpret two slashes '//' as comments.

For instance, part of the URL in the below code macro is colored green:

One solution is to select 'Plain Text' in the syntax highlighting field. Answer provided by the user zeddee in writethedocs.slack.com.

Michael,

I don't think it's possible to completely disable the colors.  If you want something that looks like the code block macro, but you don't want automatic coloring, you could use a panel macro instead and change the font to "Preformatted".  That said, I'm not a programmer and there might be other features built into the code block macro that you do want.
