Can we safely use developer license generated from our production cluster license on a standalone dev server

Doug McLean October 16, 2012

We recently upgraded our production and QA environments to a Confluence Cluster configuration with 2 nodes. We need to renew the license on our development server, which is running on a small VM, not clustered. When applyiny the dev license I generated at my.atlassian.com,for this SEN, I get a warning message that the Confluence software is not the clustered edition, and it tells me to download and install the clustered edition. Is it safe to ignore this warning, or do we need a separate license for the standalone dev environment?

Thanks,

Doug McLean

Hi Doug,

The licenses are not compatible. You'll have to set up your development server to be clustered as well I'm afraid.
