Hi Community!
So I attempted to use the table filter macro in order for users to filter on all headers within a table. The table view is now truncated, and I can't fit all columns to 1 page. It only shows the first 4 columns then the user would need to use the slidebar at the bottom of the page to view the rest of the columns. I tried to fix manually along with "full width" , "fixed width" and nothing seems to work. Any ideas are appreciated!! Thanks- Steve O.
Hi @n0216209 ,
In general, macros tend to grab a bit of a page free place for the provided additional elements. For example, on the first screenshot the upper table is a plain table and the lower table is the same table but wrapped in the Table Filter macro with filters in the header. The page is set to fixed width by default.
As you can see, the upper table is a little bit wider because the lower one has an additional button on the right.
If you change the Table Filter macro settings and switch to the classical filtration panel, there will be no any additional buttons and the tables will look pretty the same:
If your case differs from the described, you may refer to our support. Please attach the page storage (upper right corner -> menu ... -> View Storage format), if you don't see the option, ask your Confluence administrator to do it for you. We'll be able to recreate exactly your page and look into the issue. And tte support portal is confidential, of course.
Thanks for the info.,, that didn't do the trick. is there a way to wrap the text in a column? essentially, one column is a file path so it's a lot of characters. the more I relegate the column to the right the more add'l columns I can view on 1 page. I assume there's a way to fit all columns so the user can see everything without using the slidebar but I can't figure it out. Thanks!!!!!

If the issue is not in the macro as I've understood from the initial question but the original table is quite big and contains long strings without spaces, you may set the specific column width for each column using the Table Transformer macro and its FORMATWIKI function: https://docs.stiltsoft.com/tfac/cloud/advanced-table-cells-formatting-58426218.html#Advancedtablecellsformatting-Changingcolumnwidth
And maybe the best option will be to use the Table Spreadsheet macro where you'll be able to wrap text within cells, apply filtration and so on using familiar Excel-like interface.
