Can't change the dimentions of draw.io generated diagram in Confluence

renebe December 30, 2016

I've added the draw.io add-on to our Confluence cloud service (add-on version 1.3.3-AC). I've used draw.io a lot and don't have any questions regarding how to draw diagrams etc.

In the add-on documentation video it's shown that after adding a diagram the dimentions of it can be modified just like it is done for regular images - in page edit mode just click on the object and a layer pops up with the selections. Now the case is that the layer indeed also appears while clicking on a draw.io diagram, but the sizing buttons are missing (it has just "Edit" and "Remove"). This is how it looks like:

Can't say the answer made me happy, but I have to accept it.... Seems a bit strange, but it is what it is for a free add-on.

Would be great of course if you'd add it to the cloud version also, because other than that I really like draw.io

The API provided for Cloud plugins is much newer and far more limited than that for server. At the moment it just isn't technically possible to do this.

Just want to put in my vote for the sizing feature!

It is possible to resize the viewer, but only within the editor currently. We'll move that to the macro editor when the API allows it.

When zooming the diagram in the editor to 150%, it looks the same in the confluence page (distorted and very small). The result is the same, I only see 'Edit' and 'Delete' buttons.
What steps can I do, so the diagram is readable and nice?
I checked the original image, that is invoked in the confluence page, it looks nice and pretty. Just the <img>-tag in the wiki page restricts it to very small and wrong dimensions.

Ok, it seems to be an effect of the wiki page editor. Once the page is saved, it looks good.

Hi

This works for the wiki, but if I do a PDF export the image reverts to the original size

The preview image generated during save is used in the PDF export, that has a fixed size due to limitations in the Confluence Cloud API, we have no control over that.

Are you using the built-in PDF export or Scroll PDF?

James McLeman June 14, 2019

Hi

We are using the built in export

Could you submit details to support@draw.io please, so we can take a closer look?
