×Can not Set Up a Confluence instance with the Mircosoft SQL Server.
I get a "bad SQL grammar" Error ("StatementCallback; bad SQL grammar [CREATE OR ALTER FUNCTION [dbo].space_function_for_denormalised_permissions() RETURNS BIT AS BEGIN RETURN 0 END]; nested exception is com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Falsche Syntax in der Nähe des OR-Schlüsselworts.") and tried giving the confluence SQL Account as much permissions as possible. I also re-created the whole Database. The Database Connection succeeds and then it tries to set up the Database and fails after ca. 2 Minutes with the Error as shown above. After this the whole Confluence Server doesnt load any JS/CSS anymore. After then restarting the Server the JS/CSS works again but im still at the Database Setup.
I think you've run into https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-61145 - this is a bug in Confluence that only crops up when using older versions of MS-SQL.
The fix is, I'm afraid, to upgrade MS-SQL, or abandon the upgrade until you can use a later version of MS-SQL
