Can a Jenkins build be triggered via a Confluence page?

Hi,

I'm trying to find out if a Jenkins build can be triggered by an action in Confluence, I haven't been able to find out much as all the search results are about publishing on Confluence from a Jenkins build. Could anyone please let me know if this can be done and any plugins etc that would be required to make it happen?

Welcome to the community.

I'm currently not aware of any app that can do this, but I did recently launched the Jenkins for Confluence app, although being for cloud.

It would be interesting to know how you would see this trigger to be on the page, as a button or other actionable item?

Love to chat to see if this is something that can be built, let me know if you are up for it.
