Hi all,
We are on Confluence server. Server products have reached the End of Life as you all know. Our organization is still deciding on which deployment to move to. Meanwhile, a vulnerability has been identified in our current version and needs to be upgraded. But, of course, our server license is expired and we cannot create an evaluation license for the server products anymore.
Can I carry out the upgrade with a DC trial license? What are the implications of the same? any responses will be greatly appreciated.
Hi @Bhanu KN
You will be able to proceed upgrade with DC trial. You need to remember that DC license is subscription type which mean that after 30 days trial you need to buy DC license. In other case your instance will be blocked. Going back from DC to server license is not possible of course.
Regards,
Seba
Hi Sebastian,
Thank you for your insights. Usually in DC, we have the option to update the license key on UI (as opposed to the cloud where we don't have such access). I should be able to apply a second DC(if not server) evaluation license key, correct?
