Can I redirect Request Type A's URL to Request Type B's URL

Lance Li November 15, 2024

Hi Team,

We are using the Jira Service Management Data Center, and we have a user who is asking if we can redirect Request Type A's URL(https://jira.xxx.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/create/80) to Request Type B's URL(https://jira.xxx.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/create/234), the reason is in one of our system, it was hard-coded with the Request Type A's URL and can't be changed, but Request Type'A is Service Request Issue type, so we created the Request Type B that they need as the Incident Request Issue type.

Is there a way to make it work from JSM? Maybe tomcat redirection will work for this?

Hi @Lance Li

You could hide the request from the portal that is based on request A, this URL then should not be able to be used anymore.

Otherwise, yes check your tomcat config, this is not an option that can be done in JSM
