Can I prune scheduler_run_details table ?

Xarkam September 13, 2018

I see in my confluence scheduler_run_details have +2 millions lignes.

The job "Purge Old Job Run Details" no remove old lignes in this table.

My first record in this table is from 2018-06-19.

Can I purge manually the scheduler_run_details table ?

Hello Xarkam,

According to the scheduled job documentation, the "Purge Old Job Run Details" job only clears successful jobs that run more than 90 days ago.
So we're still within the time-frame.

That being said, there should be no issues with manually purging the table, but you should as always, test it on a test instance first, with the current database dump, or at least, have a full backup of Confluence and it's database, if you are going to run the delete query on production straight away.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Sattesh

Thanks,

Otherwise, is it possible to configure cleanup for logs older than 30 days?

It looks like you should be able to change it from 90 days, to 30 days using the system property all.jobs.ttl.hour, as mentioned in the documentation below.

Here's a guide on configuring system properties.

Since the value is in hours, 30 days would be 720.

Cheers,

Thanks.

I configured the option.

It was until he had to make a VACUUM after running the job :)

@Sattesh M There is a typo above, should be 'all.jobs.ttl.hours' not 'all.jobs.ttl.hour'
