Confluence has the option to hide the People Directory from users. Can this also be done on OnDemand?
Unfortunately this is once again no longer possible in Atlassian Cloud due to system changes. Please vote for and comment on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-7837 if you would like to see this functionality implemented in future.
Presently, it is not possible to hide People Directory in OnDemand. As it is a customization, it is not supported.
However, there is a feature request to introduce hiding the Directory from the Browse menu: CONF-12842. As a feature (and not a customization), it would be available in both standalone and OnDemand versions of Confluence, so do watch and vote for the ticket.

Just an update: it is now possible for us to hide the people directory in a way that persists through upgrades. Please contact Support if you want this done.

Hi Dora,
This is not possible in OnDemand, as this requires a tweak in some property files in the application, and this will not be preserverd during upgrade cycle for OnDemand applications. There's a feature request available which I suggest you vote for it :

The Cloud story https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-12842 was not correctly updated after it was cloned from its Server version.

Was looking on how to do this today for the OnDemand but indeed, the documentation is referring to server and not OnDemand.
Anyone know the way to do this for OnDemand?
