Hello Community,
I am looking for a possibility to create and save Text blocks (i.e. the legend for a table) to use it in several templates.
My goal is to use one text block (or a certain table, ...) in a lot of templates, but if I have to change it I want to change the block only once and not in every template.
Is there a possibility which I do not know?
Thanks for help or proposals.
Regards, Michael
For your use case, I will create a page with only the common text block, let's call it "Common Text".
In the page template I will use the include macro to display the page "Common Text" where you want to display it.
By doing that you can modify the source to affect all the pages created with your template calling it.
Regards,
I believe in Confluence Cloud, you can achieve this by creating a global template. A global template is a template that can be used across multiple pages in your Confluence space. You can create a global template with your desired text block or table legend, and then insert this global template into multiple templates as needed. This way, if you need to make changes to the text block or table legend, you can do so in the global template, and the changes will be reflected in all templates that use it. To create a global template, navigate to the Templates section in Confluence and select "Create Global Template." From there, you can customize your template with the desired text block or table legend.
I hope that helps

Hi,
thanks for your input. My templates are global page templates. Now I wonder how I can insert template information in these templates.
For example, a lot of my templates starts with a layout with three columns (One line).
In the first "cell" I have a property table which I use in several templates.
How can I save that property table to use it in my templates?
Thanks for your help.
