Blueprint templates question | Meeting notes

Javier Lopez October 17, 2024

Hello guys !

I'm trying to create a new template where the title is also copied from the template to the new page. A normal template does not allow this. A new page is created where you have to type the title.

The 'Create from template' macro would meet my expectations but it creates the new page as a child, what is an issue in my case.

So I was reviewing blueprints and I see 'Meeting Notes' template does that. It creates a new page with the current date + Meeting notes as title.

Could anyone tell me how this template does this ?

Is there any option to copy this template to a new template ?

Appreciate your help.

Thank you, Javier

Hi @Javier Lopez

The common 'Meeting Notes' template uses the $currentDateLozenge variable.

It seems that it is not possible to use this variable in a custom new template. There are some feature requests related to this:

P.S. You can see how the 'Meeting Notes' template is constructed in Space Tools -> Content Tools -> Templates -> Meeting Notes Blueprint.

Good day Sergey.

Appreciate your reply 😀

Your message makes reference to the way the date is use in the title.

Although It's interesting to know how it works, to me it's more important to know the way the title is copied from the blueprint template to a new page, when it's created.

Do you know if there a way to implement the copy of the title using normal template as it's done in that blueprint template ?

Thank you.

Javier
