I have configured a Slack subscription for my space with the following options selected:
I am getting notifications in my specified channel when a new blog post is created, or when it is commented on, but not when a blog post is edited.
If I configure a Slack notifications for a specific blog post (rather than all blog posts for the space), the edits are forwarded to Slack. This is not a good work around for me, as I am automating the creation of these blog posts with the Confluence API, and I would rather not have to manually enable slack notifications for each blog post.
Has anyone else encountered this?
This is expected behavior with the current Confluence Cloud–Slack integration. The space-level Slack subscription only sends notifications for new blog posts, comments, and mentions. Edits to existing pages or blog posts aren’t included in those event types, so you won’t see them in Slack unless you explicitly subscribe to the individual page or use an automation rule. Atlassian documents this limitation in the Slack integration settings—edit events are not covered at the space level.
If you need edit notifications for automatically created blogs, you can call the Confluence Automation feature instead.
