Our company's Atlassian Administration team is starting a Confluence Blog to write articles such as tips/tricks, new features, how-tos, etc. The purpose of this is to promote best practices and consistency of use across our company.
How can I make it so that any new blog post sends an email to ALL Confluence users? I understand that I can manually add watchers, but it would be unmanageable to add everyone as a watcher individually and maintain that list. Any workarounds?
@sgover You can set up an automation to send out an email when a blog is published. See https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/what-is-confluence-automation/ to start your automation journey. You can set up a trigger for when a blog content type is published.
There are many questions and articles here in the community related to automation that may offer assistance, as well as training videos and such.
Just keep in mind that, with a Standard plan, you are limited to 100 rule executions per month for your entire instance (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Introducing-Confluence-Automation-in-Free-and-Standard-plans-Dec/ba-p/2890646).
