Hello!
I'd like to know if there's a way to create a variable in Confluence. I work with test scenarios, and sometimes we need to renumber them, which is quite cumbersome.
With a variable, it would simply do this automatically.
@Lucas Pinhati Lopes this isn't exactly your scenario I think but our app Numbered Headings by Easy App automatically updates the numbering when you republish a page. I say this as it's not the case with most of the other apps.
If you test it and it doesn't do what you need I would appreciate you sharing as we might be able to build for this use case (which I don't completely understand yet). stavros@easyapps.app.
@Lucas Pinhati Lopes Are you referring to the numbering of steps in the test or a number that you assign to the scenario to identify it?
In your screenshot, it looks like you are using a table to format the steps and are not using the numbered list format for numbering. Are you using a third-party app or native Confluence features?

@Barbara Szczesniak Number that assigns to identify the scenario. The table was created by Confluence without the use of third-party app resources.

@Lucas Pinhati Lopes There may be something you could do with Confluence Databases, where you define parameters for each test scenario in a table and then reference the information on the individual pages. In this case, you could change the test numbers in the database, and the changes would be reflected on the pages.
I have not used the databases feature, but maybe others who have can offer additional advice.
