Auto populating Confluence with new hire data from a web form, email, excel doc, or other?

Emily Johnson January 5, 2012

Asking this question on behalf of our awesome office staff:

I manage all the new hire entries for our company, and we use confluence as our internal knowledge base. I currently manually add all new hire information (e-mail, phone numbers, date of hire, etc) into multiple wiki pages. I would like to be able to populate multiple fields within the wiki via a single point of entry (web form, excel doc, etc.). Is this possible?

Thank you!

Hi Emily,

This is most likely possible utilizing our rest api:

http://docs.atlassian.com/atlassian-confluence/REST/3.2

You could probably create a webform somewhere, and once the info is submitted, forward the infomation to your Confluence instance.

Cheers,

Gary
