Auto create and add labels based on template

Hi All,

Is it possible to set up an automation to automatically create and add labels to a confluence page when a specific template used?

We have a template where on a column feature is indicated, next to it in same row creator would indicate what feature the page will relate to.

This might be an existing label but when publisher is working on a new feature label may not exist yet.

Is it possible to pick up whatever feature is entered in template and auto-label page with it?

@David Gyarmati Yes, it is possible to set up an automation in Confluence to automatically create and add labels to a page based on a specific template. 

Start by creating a blueprint template in Confluence that includes the necessary fields for indicating the feature related to the page. You can use the "Create from Template" macro to insert this template into new page also Within your template, include a field for indicating the feature related to the page. You can use Confluence metadata or page properties to capture this information.

Navigate to Confluence's automation settings and create a rule that triggers when a page is created using the specific template. Configure the rule to extract the feature information from the page and add it as a label.n the automation rule, specify the field in your template that contains the feature information. Then, map this field to the label field to automatically add it as a label to the page. Test the automation rule to ensure that it works as expected. Make any necessary adjustments or refinements to the rule to improve its accuracy and effectiveness

Hi and sorry for late reply, can I do this from existing template and can necessary field for indicating the feature be a variable on template or shall I use a different field?

Regarding how to configure the rule to extract the feature information from the page and add it as a label < sorry this step is not clear also how to achive.

Another question is when using automation can't see option to trigger when a page is created using the specific template.
