Hi @Urmila Namburi ,

If you are open to 3rd party apps, we can suggest trying the app that we develop - Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.

With the help of the Table Spreadsheet macro you'll be able to import your existing data to Confluence and continue working with it in Excel-like style (cell formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.).

If you are not familiar with the app, please book a call with the team - we'll show everything live.

Hi @Urmila Namburi

Welcome to the community!

You can attach an Excel file to a Confluence page and ensure it displays correctly by following these steps:

1. Attach the File to the Page

  • Go to the Confluence page where you want to attach the file.
  • Click the "•••" (More actions) menu at the top-right corner and select Attachments.
  • Upload your Excel file here.

2. Insert the File into the Page

  • Edit the page.
  • Use the Files & Images button in the editor toolbar or simply drag and drop your file into the editor.

3. Ensure Proper Display with the Excel Macro

  • If you want the file to render as a table rather than an attachment link:
    • Click Insert More Content (the “+” icon) in the editor toolbar.
    • Select View File macro or Excel macro (depending on your Confluence setup).
    • Choose the uploaded Excel file from the list.

4. Adjust the Alignment

  • After embedding the file or macro, click on it in the editor. You’ll see alignment options (left, center, or right). Choose the desired alignment.

If you're still experiencing alignment issues, it might be due to the page layout. Check if you're using multiple columns or sections that could be impacting the display. You can switch to a single-column layout to simplify alignment.

Kind Regards

Utkarsh
