Atlassian updates from behind a firewall

Deleted user February 7, 2019

One of our servers is behind a rather strict firewall (DMZ). It can check the availability of plugin updates, but it can't download them directly.

For the third-party plugins there is a simple workaround: I download the plugin to my PC and upload it to the server, where I can then install it.

But what about the generic Atlassian plugins like

  • Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support Tools
  • Atlassian Universal Plugin Manager Plugin?

Is there a download URL where I can get them and install them manually the same way as for the third-party plugins?

Hi @[deleted],

you can upgrade Jira application and Jira plugins with OBR files. You have more information here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/upm/installing-add-ons-273875715.html

Hi Francesco,

I had not noticed that the Plugin Manager itself and the Troubleshooting Plugin are also available in the Atlassian marketplace site. Downloading and installing with upload worked.
