Atlassian Confluence 5.10.2 - RHEL 7 VM

Prashant katti May 21, 2020

We have Confluence 5.10.2 running on RHEL6 on stand alone server, and now our unix team want to upgrade existing OS to RHEL 7 VM.

Please let us know if the existing Confluence is compatible with new OS RHEL 7.

I couldn't find any information regarding OS support for Confluence 5.10.2

Hi @Prashant katti ,

Confluence is compatible as long as you keep the same JVM that you're using now, as it's an application that only needs Java to run.

The only thing I would check is the database version : have a look at what you are using and if it is on the same server as your Confluence application.

For MySQL for example, versions 5.5 and 5.6 are supported for Confluence 5.10 : https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf510/supported-platforms-829078376.html

Let me know if this helps,
