I'm having trouble. I'm trying to use Aura design macros (specifically the Aura Cards where you can customize buttons with icons, colorations, etc) for some of my Confluence pages, however when published to Scroll Viewport, they do not show up at all.
I've checked permissions and those seem to be in order. I've also checked for any tags on the pages in question to see if they are marked as "restricted" and they aren't.
Is this a known issue or are the two API's not compatible?
Hi @Justin Driggers,
I just tried this out myself, and you're right: it's not working. Viewport essentially uses Confluence's export mechanism to get the content of pages. The issue is that the export format of Aura macros seems to be implemented in such a way, that they expect to be in a Confluence environment.
In order for Aura macros to display in Viewport, the developers of the Aura macros need to adjust their export format so that Aura macros also can be displayed in non-Confluence environments.
If this is important to you, you could consider raising this as a feature request with them via their support system.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Sven
