The Livesearch Macro doesn't see to have the ability to search within a particular page and it's children, but rather can only be limited by labels/spaces. It'd be nice if Livesearch could function similarly to how the Page Tree Search Macro works (by being able to say "only search for things in this tree"). The disadvantage of the Page Tree Search Macro is that it's not "Live", and the search opens a new page.
Is this functionality possible with Livesearch? Can it be added?
Hi @macintacos ,
Unfortunately you've outlined the possibilities with the livesearch macro; it can only limit against spaces or specific page labels. A feature request was open in the past about potentially restricting the macro to a specific page tree, but was ultimately closed due to limited interest.
While I don't know of any specifically that offer something like livesearch and can limit by page tree, it is worth noting that there are several search plugins on the Atlassian Marketplace. Definitely worth checking out to see if any have macros that support the source limiting you're hoping to add. Another workaround might be to use an app to manage the labels in bulk based on the page tree or some other criteria, as livesearch does support filtering by label.
Cheers,
Daniel
